Greetings!

We are nearing the end of our first year of marriage...only 17 more days! We (well Kristen, Dave is currently unaware this is happening) figured it would be a good idea to start a blog to keep our adoring friends and family up to date on what is happening in our lives!

To catch you up to speed, here is where we currently are at:

This is us!

Dave is working at the Sisters of Charity Foundation downtown. He is excited to be back in non-profits. Over the past year he has worked at Dick's Sporting Goods, Playhouse Square and the Richmond Heights School District. He also went back to school for a bit to Cleveland State for Special Education (he was just so inspired by Kristen), but quickly realized that non-profits was really where his heart still was. We are glad that he is enjoying Sisters of Charity, and hoping to make that his home for a while.

Kristen is in her 6th year at Cleveland Heights High School. After 5 years in the PRIDE small school, Kristen transitioned to the Legacy school after the closing of the PRIDE school. She is currently teaching AP Calculus AB, Algebra I, and an AVID elective course (which she was super excited about because she loves the AVID program!). She is still the advisor of the Student Council, which always keeps her busy. Kristen has also been working at Playhouse Square for a little over a year. She is currently in school at Cleveland State pursing her masters in Organizational Leadership in Education, and is very excited to be graduating this May!


Lee and Phoenix

Right now, our kids consist of our two dogs Phoenix and Lee. Phoenix is a St. Bernard/Black Lab mix who looks more like a Dalmatian/Black Lab mix. She is two years old, and is finally starting to mellow out. She still gets super excited when new people come around. Lee is part German Shepherd and part something else much smaller. He is a very loving, mild tempered dog. He is almost a year old. His birthday is actually our wedding day! The two love playing together and cuddling when they are tired.

Together, we have a first year of marriage that has been tough and challenging, but rewarding and full of exciting experiences. We are excited to be venturing into our second year, and to see what it will bring.

The exciting news right now is that Kristen's sister Michelle, her husband Dave and their son Nicholas will be moving in with us soon! We are so excited to have them come stay with us for a while as they make their transition to Cleveland!
