So...2012 has sucked...

It has been a while since our last post, and a lot has happened in 2012.  It has been a year full of ups and downs so far, but everything that has happened seems inconsequential after receiving the news we got yesterday.  We found out that the tumor that was discovered in Dave's brain almost two months ago is cancerous.  We received so much information in the five hours that we were meeting with the doctors at the Cleveland Clinic.  We want to keep everyone updated and educated on what is happening, and we figured posting information on our blog would be the easiest way to do that.

First thing is the the type of tumor he has:  low-grade-astrocytoma.

We have had an amazing team of doctors at the Neurological Institute at the Cleveland Clinic

The team of doctors are meeting on Monday to discuss Dave's case, and make a recommendation for treatment.  We will post an update when we know more.

Until then, thank you to everyone for the amazing support.  We have been overwhelmed by the outreach of family, friends, and those that we have lost contact with over the years.  Although this is a very difficult time for both of us, the silver lining has been seeing how great people can be.  We are truly thankful.
